  Popcorn Poppers

  If you commute from out of the 5 boroughs you’ll appreciate this.

  Every evening I am amazed at the amount of passengers on board my lovely NJTransit train that are stuffing their faces with popcorn. I don’t get it, I really don’t, and this is why;

  You have spent all day working in NYC, the busiest city in the country, and now you are settling in for your ride home, and naturally you have chosen a snack for the ride.

  Perhaps; Starbucks, a Hot NY Pretzel, or a Piece of Fruit?

  Nope!

  

  You’ve chosen a big greasy bag of POPCORN. The greasy snack that requires the entire use of your hands to consume, note those hands have touched surfaces that millions have touched today. (You know you didn’t wash your hands, let’s be real) Also you’re not just snacking, you’re stuffing your face. I think Ellen discussed this once during one of her stand ups. Watch that video here.

  Let’s face it, as a snack on a train, popcorn is messy and unsanitary. (I love popcorn, not a hater, just only on trains)  So please! Next time get an apple, or a soft pretzel, or a dam candy bar. It would be appreciated by your fellow passengers.

  BTW popcorn man who inspired this, your pit stains are showing.
